However, please be aware that even with our skip-the-ticket-line service, there might be some waiting time required for security checks. This is because visitor numbers can fluctuate unpredictably at the sites throughout the day. The typical waiting time falls within 0 to 10 or 30 minutes, though on rare occasions, it might be longer.

However, here's where our service truly shines: Even amidst a queue, our experienced guides will always stay by your side. They will use this time as an opportunity to kickstart your tour, offering in-depth explanations about the history and significance of the site you're about to explore. This way, not a moment is wasted, and you're assured of the full, rich experience we promise.

Meeting point

Our recommendation is: The "FRESKO" Yogurt Bar Acropolis located on 3, Dionyssiou Areopagitou st. and Syngrou ave. It is at the beginning of the pedestrian walkway that takes you from Hadrian's Arch to the Acropolis. This is a very convenient meeting point considering the sights you are going to visit. Your tour guide will be holding the orange colored Athens Walking Tours sign to identify them.

Ask us for pick up from your hotel! Some, but not all hotels are conveniently located within the route of the tour and in this case, our guide will gladly meet you at your hotel lobby and start your tour from there.

Admission tickets

A new time zone system for entry to the Acropolis has been introduced. This innovative approach aims not only to minimize waiting times but also to prevent overcrowding, ensuring a more sustainable and enjoyable experience for all visitors.

Booking a tour with us guarantees your entry on that specific date and time. Advance booking is highly recommended due to limited availability.

You will need to make the payment for your admission ticket in cash at the check-in at our meeting point before the tour commences, directly with us. We will have already prepurchased the tickets for you for the correct time slot.

However, if you choose to obtain your ticket independently for any reason, which we do not recommend, please notify us in writing at info@athenswalkingtours.gr at least 24 hours before the tour's scheduled start time. Failure to notify us in advance will require us to buy the tickets for you, and you will have to pay for the entrance ticket through us also at the meeting point. Please be cautious when acquiring your ticket, as selecting an incorrect date, time, or guest type may result in a non-refundable tour fee. Additionally, please be aware that we cannot issue a valid admission ticket at the meeting point under these circumstances.

Citizens from non-EU countries between 6-24: 14 euros
European citizens 65+ : 14 euros
European citizens under 25 years of age are entitled to free entrance to all sites visited during the tour
All children 5 years of age and under are entitled to free entrance to all sites visited during the tour

Ticket Cost for the Museum

Acropolis Museum Ticket for adults (25+): 15 euros between April 1st and October 31st and 10 euros between November 1st and March 31st.

If you are a student or teenager hold your valid ID or student card to be entitled to reduced entrance fees to the Museum.

During winter (November 1 to March 31) the latest starting time for tours will be 11:30 am due to earlier closing times of the archaeological sites and museums.
