Top Museum of the World: Acropolis Museum

Designed by renowned Swiss architect Bernard Tschumi and notable Greek architect Michalis Photiadis, the Acropolis Museum captivates guests on approach. Its seamless modern lines elegantly incorporate artifacts exclusively from the Acropolis, and excavations are also visible under glass floors and walkways. The marbled surviving treasures are impressively displayed with the use of natural light, situated on a modernist open layout. Panoramic views top the experience.

Meeting point

In front of the Acropolis Museum Building’s Entrance at 15, Dionysiou Areopagitou St. Your guide, holding the orange Athens Walking Tours sign, will come to meet you outside the Acropolis Museum, in front of the OWL statue, which is located inside the Acropolis Museum’s premises before entering the Museum on the left-hand side, right next to the “Exit” door. Kindly note that this tour is a continuation of the Acropolis tour which starts earlier, so our guide will be arriving with a group from the Acropolis, holding the orange Athens Walking Tours sign.

Entrance fees not included

The entrance tickets are not included in the tours fee because there are various rates depending on participants (students, children etc.), on the season (high, low) and there is free entrance on some specific dates throughout the year. 

Please make sure you have enough cash (Euros) with you to purchase the tickets from the Acropolis Museum counters. Check below the rates applying to your party:

• 20 € for the adults 25+, covering all the sites that will be visited
• 10 € for students from non-EU countries (with current student ID)
• 10 € for young persons 6 to 24 years old from non-EU countries
• Free entrance for guests under 24 years and students from EU countries (with current student ID) all the year round
• Free for children up to 5 years old
